Healing stubborn leg ulcers and compression bandaging workshop.

This workshop is a follow on from Wound Care in 2019 and was requested by the attendees.

Chronic wounds can be challenging and distressing. This workshop will:

  • Extend your knowledge of risk factors
  • Learn how to assess for risk factors
  • Increase your understanding of the influence of compression therapy
  • Learn how to debride wound correctly and take a biopsy
  • Know  when and how to apply a pressure bandage for maximum effect
  • Practical session on applying a pressure bandage
  • Case studies on successful outcomes using compression bandaging

Please bring for the practical session:

  • 1 metre tubigrip (size C, D or E to fit your leg)
  • 2 x 10cm crepes bandages
  • Compression hosiery, if available.
