Abuse and Neglect is defined “as a single or repeated act, or lack of appropriate action, occurring within any relationship where there is an expectation of trust, which causes harm or distress to an older person” Agewell New Zealand.

Presenter: Angela Spalding RMN MSc Psychosocial Interventions BSc (Hons) Health Studies.
Angela has worked in Mental Health for over two decades in a variety of clinical, educational and research roles. Angela has worked as a Senior Lecturer in the UK and NZ and was amongst the early adopters of mental health clinicians to embrace a ‘psychosocial paradigm’ of practice. Her holistic approach to the complexities of mental well-being is recovery focused and trauma-informed.
